SOUND HEALING
Vedic and shamanic sound healing are two different approaches to healing that use sound as a key component.
Vedic sound healing is based on ancient Indian texts known as the Vedas, which describe a system of healing through sound vibrations.
This approach uses mixed metal singing bowls and chimes, mantras, chants, and other specific sounds to balance the body's energy and promote healing.
On the other hand, shamanic sound healing is a practice that originated in various indigenous cultures around the world.
This approach involves the use of drums, rattles, and other instruments to create a trance-like state and facilitate healing.
Both Vedic and shamanic sound healing are believed to have powerful effects on the mind, body, and spirit, and are increasingly being used as complementary therapies alongside other forms of treatment.

Attending a sound bath can be a unique and individual experience. You may find yourself lying on a yoga mat, surrounded by others in a similar state of relaxation or as a solo meditator being supported, as the practitioner plays the crystal and mixed metal singing bowls. The experience is passive yet immersive. The sounds and vibrations fill the room, creating a cocoon of sound that envelops you. Some may experience visualizations, emotional releases, or a profound sense of peace. Each session can be different, as you bring new energies and mindsets to the experience
These sessions, utilizing Crystal Healing bowls and/or Tibetan Crystal Singing Bowls, are known for stress reduction, mental clarity enhancement, emotional release, and sleep improvement. The sound waves from these bowls are thought to synchronize brain wave frequencies, fostering deep relaxation and a tranquil mind, which may ease anxiety, manage stress, and support a balanced mood. Additionally, the harmonious resonance of these bowls could promote a mental reset, sharpening focus and sparking creativity.

We always suggest to bring and wear, whatever is going to make you most comfortable.
Comfortable clothes is obviously at the participants discretion & weather appropriate, suggested would be sweats, leggings, loose fitting pants/shorts, t-shirts (long or short), sweatshirts, socks (if your feet tend to get cold easily).
As for what to bring with you I suggest a blanket or yoga mat to lay on and if you’d like a blanket to cover up, a pillow for your head, a pillow or yoga bolster for under your knees to relieve lower back pressure, an eye mask or eye pillow to block out any light.
We typically can provide majority of props for practice - however you are encouraged to have your own.
Upon booking we can discuss specifics :)

While there is some scientific evidence on the positive effects of sound healing, the research is still limited. Some studies suggest that sound therapy can reduce stress, anxiety, and pain, and may even positively impact the immune system. However, the potential side effects and risks of sound healing remain unclear due to a lack of comprehensive scientific research.
Some people may experience discomfort or negative reactions during or after a sound healing session. These reactions are often related to the release of deep-seated emotions or the healing process itself, and may not necessarily be harmful. However, it is important for both practitioners and clients to be mindful of potential risks and communicate any concerns or negative reactions to ensure a safe and effective healing experience.
